I think I need help. Especially I need someone other than me who can have a conversation and help me look at things more sanely

I am without a computer at home until Alex fixes the new shiny, so you will need to use the geekhost address and wait till daytime to get email through. The new shiny will hopefully be ready tomorrow, and may be slightly faster and less noisy, not to mention less likely to randomly seize up when trying to go to sleep...

I can afford my flat according to $currentmortgagecompany, which is a great relief. Now I have to arrange a solicitor to do the actual deed (see, there's a joke in there if you look.)

Work continues to be work and sucks as much as you'd expect.

I need to update the list of doom - large sheets of paper and coloured pens may be required...

Can anyone recommend an electrician? One that turns up when they say they will for favourite... (it's not an emergency.)
