Many British people fail to relax at weekends say a London tourist organisation who have a vested interest. Well that was me this weekend. At one point I caught myself thinking that if I wanted to be miserable I should have just gone to BiCon. Still, misery in your home is at least cheaper.

And I did get stuff done. Friday night I went to view a flat, found it to be crap, bought food and beer, dashed home and ate and attempted to tidy before Nuala and Nicky turned up. I don't know how successful the tidying was, but we managed to get quite a lot of pictures in spite of the camera needing recharging half way through, so new stuff for sale will be going up soon. Then we watched Angel and drank. Yay for nights in.

On Saturday the gnomes from hell arrived, so I am relieved I wasn't at BiCon. I did some cleaning while cursing my flatmates, went out for a coffee with Sandy and ended up having lunch in Doctors as all the coffee shops were full. Braved LiDL, went home and cleaned some more, swearing. Then Jon came back for more beer and Angel.

Sunday we attempted to view a flat that had been sold and then had coffee and a useful strategic chat before going back and cleaned some more. The swearing stopped after Sandy joined in and put in a huge effort, so you can actually see the difference now. Which means that at least I feel we achieved something. But still, boo hiss to crappy weekends - I must try to find something decent to do next weekend...

"Relax" and "London" in the same sentence? I think I see an obvious problem here...

I confess I'm a bit behind on LJ and I don't know if you posted something, but I thought you'd be in BiCon.
