1.Greying: I want to find some way of allowing my grey hair to show without it looking crap. Some kind of Mallen streak would be cool...
2. Getting Things Done - I am doing it
3. Grown-up - I assume I must be, I'm certainly not going to get any taller...
4. Glasses - my glasses are part of me, since Ive been wearing them since I was nine
5. Good - I am a Good Bunny, as I keep telling myself when I do things
6. Generally knowledgeable - I know a lot of things that are true, and a lot more that are plausible and make people think I know the answers to all the things, but I don't. I am rubbish on sport and on popular music I don't like, for instance...
7. Guardian reader - they get it at work, which helps, but I am basically the 8. Guardian reading stereotype through and through
8. Green - I'm not a member of the green party, and indeed wasn't when I stood for election for them, but they are likely to get my vote unless some other candidate persuades me they aren't just shit
9. Gorgeous - or at least so Ive been told ...
10. Garrulous - I talk a lot

I am determined to catch up on this self-imposed meaningless task, and say ten things about me beginning with each letter through November. It's hardly nanowrimo, so it should be doable...

H is for happy, which I am not right now because I am:-
  1. Hurting: I have a persistent pain in my left shoulder and neck which is making me extremely huffy.
  2. Heavy: I know I already said I am fat, but the physical heaviness of the me needs some emphasis. It makes some things difficult or impossible, like being allowed to horse ride, and other physical activities which come up in my special offer emails from time to time. It also makes it hard for other hurty bits of me to heal, like knees and ankles.
  3. Hirsute: I have a lot of body hair, which a particularly horrible hypnotist once suggested was the root of all my problems. He was a Freudian, which may be where I went wrong. I do not shave my legs, or my underarms unless they get particularly smelly in the summer, and when I do I always regret it. I usually keep my moustache too, but that one is much more prone to self image problems.
  4. Hateful: I hate myself a lot, even though I try not to, there is still a lot of self hate in there.
  5. Hideous: I have bingo wings and cankles and other horrible words which are applied almost exclusively to women
  6. Heart-sick: I hate having all this hate for myself. Which is horrible
  7. Harsh: not only on myself, but I have been seen to be hard and unfeeling
  8. Halting: I have a limp from the hurt and the heaviness
  9. Haggard: I am a hag, I have been told this word can be positive, but not for me
  10. Hoping: that having got some of the harmful h-words out of my system I will feel better. Before I do I, I shall drink some T

 I is for I. I am:
  1. I, and any pointlessly philosophical questions from implausibly ancient and powerful aliens will be met with similarly straightforward responses.
  2. Irish: I was not born in Ireland, my mother was not born in Ireland but both her parents were and she was brought up London Irish. I received a certain amount of anti-Irish abuse in my childhood, so it's an identity of sorts.
  3. Irritable: I like the fact that in biology irritable just means that I respond to stimulus. If you poke me do I not get irate?
  4. Intellectual: when my father was insane and shouted at me not to be such a bloody intellectual, I ran away from home, which was not the most intelligent response
  5. Idealogical: which means 'concerned with ideas. I like ideas cos I can think them with my brain.
  6. Introverted: it's fairly borderline, but I find it takes energy to be with people, and I need alone time to regain it
  7. Improving: I wish to do always better. This is not part of being hard on myself, but part of being human.
  8. Immanent: which is the opposite of transcendent. I do not wish to transcend the physical but to be fully in it. Mind you I also wih to be immortal. I don't find these positions contradictory
  9. Idealistic: see above :-) I tend to absolutist views which I need to curb if I am to be fully rational
  10. Islander: I like the fact that I am never a few hours from the sea

No really, I could do with one right now, given the joint pain I'm in
  1. Jaded: I try not to be but it's hard
  2. Justified: also Ancient
  3. Judicious: as in showing good judgement, or so I am told by someone whose judgement I respect
  4. Jewish: I am not Jewish, but my grandfather's mother was. This was important to him, and denied by the rest of the family because she was a Christian. Her family were furriers and she made hats and tippets, apparently
  5. Jeweller: I have been making some today, I used to do it for a living
  6. Jovian: not so much jovial as liable to strike things with thunder and lightning, given half a chance
  7. Jon's partner: we've been together for nearly 17 years
  8. Just: just good enough, just well enough evolved to be able to do this thing that humans do, not interested in the kind of justice that involves punishment, which isn't just or helpful.
  9. Jings - which I seem to be saying a lot these days
  10. Jiggered: thinking of J words is hard

I am determined to do K before the day is out dammit, so this will be a rush job
  1. Knitter - I am one, but not a buyer of expensive yarn (much)
  2. Kinky - at least a bit kinky
  3. Knotty - I can tell by my back, and also by the way I can tie knots - an art which I want to learn more of, given a willing assistant
  4. Kneed - I have knees, one of which is making itself particularly obvious to me right now
  5. Keitch - which is the name of my daemon
  6. Kenspeckle  - which is scots for familiar, well-known, or easily recognised
  7. Keen - as a knife
  8. Kitchen buying - in a it, when I work it all out
  9. Kindly - I try to be, to myself as much as others
  10. Knackered - I'm for my bed now
