Write my name in heaven in invisible ink

I have borrowed a USB turntable and have successfully imported not one but two singles and cleaned up the noise a bit. Tomorrow we try to master albums and splitting them into tracks...

P.S. If you have offered me mp3s and it's not too much trouble I still want them, cos this is going to be slooow...

Advice me up

While I am trying to sort out Everything Ever in my life I am researching my bills and how to reduce them. Therefore am thinking of going on to Virgin for my mobile and taking up their "4 for £40" offer which gives me basically The TV, broadband and landline I am already paying £40.50 for, plus a mobile, which would save me the £26 I pay Orange every month. However I want to keep my number and would have to (presumably) get the Treo unlocked so it works with the new Virgin SIM. Does anyone out there know how to do this?

With Virgin I have a choice of phones:
  • Samsung E250
  • Samsung J600
  • Nokia 5200
  • Sony Ericsson K510i

Is it worth getting any of them? Or should I go for the phoneless offer and carry on using my Treo? The Treo is playing up a bit and I mostly have to use the hands-free now. The phoneless package gives you 300 minutes and 300 texts a month which is more than I'll ever use, whereas the one with a phone gives 100 of each, which is also more than I currently use...

    (no subject)

I got a Treo 650! I am such a sucker - but is so cu-ute. So far it seems to be what the 600 should have been and wasn't. It can take photos indoors for instance. And I have successfully made it play an MP3 on its stereo headset that comes with.

There will shortly be a big pile of questions for Treo geeks, but just now I have to go to Samba, so I'll put the toy on to charge.

Which is the evilest thing of all

Is there a consensus yet on whether XP users should download Service Pack 2? And has anyone tried it yet? I am running Zone Alarm, AVG and AdAware and I don't use Internet Explorer...
