GIP. This is what I look like right now. The light is so cold it looks like it's been snowing, but sadly it's just cold and damp.

Also, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] yonmei I have just discovered that Ian Mackellan fancied Derek Jacobi at college and Jacobi fancied him back but they did nothing 'cos they weren't out. I have never had any interest in RPS before, but I'm starting to feel all dirty :-)

As others have said, you look great.

With the McKellen article, the two things that struck me were:

a) he'd have been at Cambridge with my dad (who knew Derek Jacobi through doing theatre lighting, and so probably at least lit Ian McKellen at soe point)
b) he was Death in Last Action Hero? How did I not notice that? Last Action Hero is one of my guilty pleasures, partly because of the superb moment when Death walks off the screen during a showing of The Seventh Seal.

You look lovely.
I've got an article from CAM magazine which recently had a whole issue on Gay Cambridge through the ages. McKellen said the only reason he became an actor was to meet other gay people. I was at a Marlowe Society reunion dinner last year and Clive Swift (Richard off Keeping Up Appearances) told me it was obvious the pair of them fancied each other, but after measures like having one of them on a hospital trolley, wheeling it into the other's room and locking the door didn't work, their friends gave it up as a lost cause...
