2006: the executive summary
January: Quite month in sorting out my finances. Life on Mars (jolly good). Brokeback Mountain (neither jolly not much good). Signed up to run Torchbearers for Beltane.
February: Started last few sessions with psychologist. Beltane open meeting, where I started recruiting torchies and volunteered to help Barry with Quartermastering.
March: Jon's birthday at Gigantor, which was less fun for both of us than it should have been. Then got sick on legal highs at another Gigantor. Barry stepped down and I became de facto Quartermaster and was very busy with that and torchies not to mention recruiting at work.
April: Jon away in Australia. Discover that Quartermaster is a committee post, so more Beltane organisation including two fundraising clubs and a great awayday at Redhall with secret activities of which we shall not speak. Still find time to get hooked on Perplexcity. I get a pay rise and the first half of my promotion. Beltane! Handfasted to Jon at the Bower - aw!
May: Reluctantly give up the idea of elephant herding. Beltane folk beach party with camping and topless dancing round fire. Handfasting party at mine. New Mac and saying bye bye to Windoze. Barbeque in Glasgow at Beltane founder Angus's and a Lughnassadh Open meeting. Cow hunting. Finish with the psychologist.
June: Started giving up anti-depressants, started to walk the Water of Leith, fretted about cooking for Lughnassadh plus did lots of clearing out my flat and my head. Got a storm kettle and Jon became fascinated with kindling.
July: BiCon in Glasgow involved accidentally volunteering AGAIN. Oh, and I got a cake. Rar cake! Giant Shoes and live action space invaders also occurred. Morag rescued us from potential Lughnassadh catering fiasco.
August: Lughnassadh at Tyningham involving little sleep and the peeling of many swedes. In spite of this much fun was had. Started planning birthday. Did a major blitz on housework.
September: Signed up for drumming at Samhuinn and was very very nervous. Visit from mum and dad goes as well as can be expected. Was still organising birthday bash
October: Party at Old Saint Paul's for my 40th birthday. Giant Rabbit! Chocolate fountain! Polyday in London went exceptionally well. Drummer away weekend at Tentsmuir - bloody fantastic! Samhuinn followed by Samhuinn club. Bloody Training Guide.
November: Bloody Training Guide goes on and on. Started to organise Solstice. HMHB and Jason Spaceman gigs. Recruiting for work AGAIN. A couple of nice junkets to make up for it, including Glasgow Science Centre. Also a Gigantor which is fun and nothing goes wrong.
December: Organising and stressing about Solstice Feast, knitting scarfs and making apple sauce. Plus help out at the work Xmas meal, which is in the office for the first time. Feast goes extremely well. Then I had a quiet Xmas day with Jon and Fluffy and a duck. A major housework blitz happened. Me and Jon went to Demian's party in Gorebridge on the 30th followed by a quiet night in on the 31st.
