And now for the easy(er) one, from my favourites list all comments screened do people can get a proper score. Bear in mind that these are all first lines...

1. And her hallway. Moves. Like the ocean
Moves
And her hallway
Moves
Like the sea

2. Baby, I've been here before.
I know this room, I've walked this floor.
I used to live alone before I knew you.

3. There's a storm outside, and the gap between crack and thunder,
crack and thunder, is closing in, is closing in
The rain floods gutters, and makes a great sound on the concrete
On a flat roof, there's a boy leaning against the wall of rain
Aerial held high, calling "come
on thunder, come on thunder"

4. Hand over hand up the lifeline, luckily the knots stay tight

5. Call me old fashioned but I'm a little nervous about the future
I've got no enthusiasm for burgers or computers
And television bores me now in a hundred different ways
And the police are getting younger, getting younger every day

6. I don't wanna be your angel
I wanna be your witch
I gotta wait ’til the sun is down
I’m getting ready for another flight
Only if you’re ready
And you’re willing to drown
You can be mine tonight

7. Don't you think it's funny that nothing's what it
seems when you're not looking forward?
Me, I'd like to think life is like a drink,
and I'm hoping that it tastes like bourbon.
You know that I've been drunk a thousand times,
and these should be the best days of my life,
Life, it's not what I thought it was.

8. You saw sagacious Solomon
You know what came of him
To him complexities seemed plain
He cursed the hour that gave birth to him

9. We knew we'd find you crying
on top of dustbin hill,
grinning at the passers by
through the flowers on your windowsill.

10. The sun struggles up another beautiful day
And I felt glad in my own suspicious way
Despite the contradiction and confusion
Felt tragic without reason
Theres malice and theres magic in every season

11. I certainly haven't been shopping for any new shoes
And I certainly haven't been spreading myself around
I still only travel by foot and by foot it's a slow climb
But I'm good at being uncomfortable so I can't stop changing all the time

12. Time takes a cigarette, puts it in your mouth
You pull on your finger, then another finger, then your cigarette
The wall-to-wall is calling, it lingers, then you forget

13. Don't be scared of anything at all
Everything we have is all we need
All the spotlights streaming into angry skies
Means there's no one watching as we leave

14. It was one of those black cat nights
The moon had gone out and the air was thin
It was the kind of night that the cat would drag in.
I'll never forget it, we had a fight.
Then you turned around turned on the light.
You left our bed.
Then you moved downstairs to live with her instead.

15. I was totin my pack along the long dusty Winnemucca road
When along came a semi with a high canvas covered load
If your goin' to Winnemucca, Mack with me you can ride
And so I climbed into the cab and then I setteled down inside
He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand
And I said, "Listen! I've traveled every road in this here land!"

16. I'd like to help you doctor
Yes I really really would
But the din in my head
Its too much and its no good
I'm standing in a windy tunnel
Shouting through the roar
And I'd like to give the information
You're asking for

17. I got two pale hands up against the window pane
I'm shaking with the heat of my need again
It starts in my feet, reverbs up to my brain
There's nothing I can do to reverse the gain

18. I'm going down to the place tonight
To see if I can get a taste tonight
A taste of something warm and sweet
That shivers your bones and rises to your heat

19. He's walking where I'm afraid I don't know
I see the firemen jumping from the windows
There's panic and I hear somebody scream
He picks up useless paper and puts it in my pocket
I'm trying very hard to keep my fingers clean

20. Man, it was mean to be seen in the robes you wore for Lent
you must've known that it was Easter
There for a while, in your smile, I could see Mexico blood say
"This is true I was a Teaser"

Seems that you, like I, have been on a Wonder Stuff kick the last couple of days. 7 is 'Size Of A Cow' and 9 is 'Red Berry Joy Town'. Can't nail any more, though I know I ought to know 14 in particular.

I can only manage three: "How the Fortunate the Man with None" by Dead Can Dance, "Rock 'n' Roll Suicide" by David Bowie, and "Michael Caine" by Madness.

I've got a nasty feeling this says something about me.

Had I seen this on time, I'd only have got no. 1 - which is stupid, because I do know no. 7 pretty well, and no. 8.
