WE SUPPORT Living life cause life is short

Music is the most beautiful thing in the world. Because it can activate the bits of my brain that feel all the other things of beauty and it can do it at any time.

And The Cat Empire's Misere is almost religious. In fact it's anti-religion religious and I now feel the urge to collect some other such songs into a play list. Such as Yello's Domingo. Hmm. And No God, No Religion, and The Gates to the Garden. Are there any other candidates? There's a JAmes song but I can't remember which one so I have to listen to them all again. Which I can bear.

Other good things include new red hair, getting round to cleaning and making soup, and actually getting consulted about some stuff at work. Also doing Beltane stuffs and having ideas about events later in the year.

Also Prefab Sprout's Electric Guitars is happy and sweet and charming and I am not ashamed. (Actually I've already started a playlist called 'Poptastic Shame', which is where I think it belongs...)

I must go to bed now before I make of a idiot of myself :-)

James: 'God Only Knows', perhaps? But don't let me stop you listening to them all again :-)

Well, on anti-god songs, there's just about everything by :Wumpscut:, but I'd recommend 'Christfuck', which seems to have the line 'christfuck' for no reason... but my main reason for commenting is to ask how you want my spare camera delivered to you...

I was thinking more of secular songs that make me feel spiritual/religious/connected to the great pumpkin, so possibly not Christfuck...

On the camera it depends on how easy it is to use. If it's really straightforward and/or come with instructions that are understandable by me you could always hand it to Jon to give me tomorrow. Otherwise, or if you want to visit me anyway, you could pop round with it Friday or Saturday. Or I might be able to pick it up from yours Sunday.

I must admit my usual fallbacks for that connected-to-the-pumpkin feeling could easily be classified as 'hippy shit', for example:

  • Leonard Cohen, 'Stranger Song'
  • The Moody Blues, anything from 'To Our Children's Children's Children', even though it's about space travel.
  • Most stuff by Shpongle, given the right circumstances.
  • Dave Matthews, a few tracks off 'Some Devil'

I'm sure I have some anti-religion religious songs. Will try to remember to look at iTunes when I'm at home (feel free to poke).
