A poster at one of the venues I go to says "it takes takes 28 muscles to smile, 56 muscles to frown and only four for me to extend my arm and punch you on the nose." This is also obviously bogus, as you would be using all your hand muscles to make a fist plus your shoulder muscles to take a good swing. So how many does that make?
Anyway, my preferred demotivational version is currently this:
It may take fewer muscles to smile than to frown, but it takes none at all to let your face slump into a sort of dejected expression.
