Things to check before I next move into a flat:-

  • That I can get Telewest
  • That my phone can get good reception in my bedroom and doesn't have to be carried to the front of the flat every time it rings
  • That the flat isn't owned by the fucking Moonies
  • That all the windows open without bits falling off them
  • And especially that the innocent looking cafe under my bedroom window isn't a live jazz venue that plays until midnight every Wednesday and for TWO WHOLE WEEKS in the summer with the fucking doors wide open because it's the fucking jazz festival!
Apparently it will end on the 3rd August. Murder may have been committed by then.

Yes, really and truly. We didn't find this out until after we'd given the agents a deposit, but the name on the lease is definititely that of the Unification Church, and the store room contains some of their literature.

I can see the list of things expanding to the size of Public Image Ltd's gig contract - you could write a book of everything that had ever gone wrong with a gig featuring Mr Lydon from all of the 'there must / must not be's.

They haven't been any trouble so far, but it does alarm me somewhat. And it looks like it's going to be very hard to get them to agree to do anything.
