On Saturday I walked four miles of the Water of Leith Walkway - sadly this included possibly the dullest bit from Roseburn to Slateford. Next weekend I intend to go via the canal to Slateford instead, and Jon has said he'll come with me.

Where online can I get maps of Edinburgh which show places I can walk? Google maps don't show footpaths or the canal and neither does Multimap :-(

the online maps dont seem to be good for that. get yourself a paper os map, then you can take it with you too.

I find the online arial photos (http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=55.924268~-3.247964&style=h&lvl=16) better than the maps for anything other than roads.
