So, 'lyrics' is not a suitable interest. "There are 2755 people and/or communities listing this as an interest. A list will not be shown." So what should I put? And how sad is it, on a scale of one to ten, to post long chunks of what I consider to be apposite or just plain good lyrics?

It's probably "fair usage" not copyright infringement to post lyrics in the context of discussion, etc.
Copyright infringement would be putting up substantial portions of the lyrics with no surrounding comments making clear that they were someone else's work.
(Sorry, I'm a librarian...)
