Good news for privacy: Plans to combine new compulsory identity cards with passports and driving licences have been dropped.

And from yesterday
Waves of drug use only ever occur among the proles. Is this because there are so many more poor people than there are rich ones, and we're just applying an uncharacteristic rigour to our use of words like "wave"?

Interesting article. And largely correct, I should think. Well, apart from coke being cheap. Or is it? Is it one of those things that sounds expensive but isn't really?

Coke used to be expensive. I always thought of it as essentially a yuppie drug in contrast to the more affordable speed. But it's cheap now.

Depends what you call expensive - between £50 to £60 a wrap, wheras a wrap of speed = £10. All figures approximate.
