purplerabbits: me after BiCon 2018 (old)

It is the autumn, the start of term, which for always and ever will be the start of the year in at least one sense (I've said before that I have at least three New Years.) Also I have a birthday at the start of October.

Therefore it is time to relaunch Getting Things Done - the system, not the actual thing doing, though that too.

Step One is Capture - make at least a note about everything which is occupying to do space in my brain.

The first part was straight forward - I already keep to do lists - possibly too many of them, but they can be combined. I also have a calendar, which largely works although I'd like a better way to capture 'maybe' things like the regular meetup that I may or may not go to.

And then there are the things.

The hair dye, the dolls house stuff, the appointment letters I haven't put into the calendar yet, the knitting I finished but didn't quite add all the buttons to yet, the things that might turn out to be gifts for people I might see again.. I hope.. maybe, the kits, craft supplies (oh god the craft supplies!) the little bits of things that are a bit broken that I should just fix - I don't need to write them on a list because they are their own reminder - except I am only reminded of them at annoying times so yes, I do need to write them down.

My entire flat feels like a to do list.

The outfits I need to find an occasion to wear, the books I should read, the DVDs I should watch, bulbs to plant (but first I must buy chicken wire so the damn squirrels don't just eat them), meals to make which I don't get round to because there is always something more convenient in the shop, things to sell or give away or lend people or return to people or just give UP on.

There are too many Things!
