The not-buying-new things is my only actual resolution that I'm calling such. But there are other things that I start at the beginning of the calendar year, partly cos it seems easier. For me that mostly means listing stuff, including (behold, a list)

My personal accounts - I had got out of the habit of doing proper double entry accounts for myself, but have started a new spreadsheet. This seems to make sense tied in with the not buying of stuff, but even if I fail to note exactly what I spend cash on, I want to continue with this in outline at least to keep my bank balanced (I would say 'chequebook', but am rapidly approaching what's one of them - I think I wrote three cheques in 2010)

My annual bird list - I haven't actually collated by list of 2010 from all the various places I have it yet, and would like next years to be a bit more organised. So far I have a list of 26 in the order I saw them, I'd like to continue that

My annual book list - see above. I think last years list is incomplete cos I lost track so often. I want to get it back under control, and also finish cataloguing my library

Some kind of record :-) In my case that means a minimal daily diary, most of which will be posted as private here. I apologise in advance if you see these, mostly cos they will be dull and contain lists.
