I needs strokes and reassurances because organising travel to London is a NIGHTMARE and I think I've done it wrong but thetrainline can't help me because they are numpties.
In more detail - I booked tickets to go to Carshalton Beeches on Tuesday and back from Streatham on Monday 13th. Because it was cheaper I ended up with two singles and because of that I find I didn't actually select to collect them from the station as I thought - I can collect the outward tickets from the station, but the return ones I stupidly left at the default delivery option, which is 1st class post. I have just spend half an hour on hold to thetrainline to be told that you CANNOT change delivery options after booking, you can only cancel the ticket or change the journey (for a fee) what I have to do, apparently, is wait until tuesday morning for my return ticket to not arrive and THEN phone thetrainline who will "do something" about the non-delivery. Normally I wouldn't even be able to do this until the day before my return journey, but because they are being so very gracious they are letting me do it before I leave Edinburgh - at least that's what they say now, I have no assurance that they won't change their minds on Tuesday when I am supposed to be travelling, and I KNOW I won't sleep Monday night if I'm worried about getting tickets by Tuesday mornings post.
These tickets cost me about a hundred quid, I CAN'T afford to buy another return ticket if this fucks up.
