purplerabbits at 03:42pm on 01/08/2007 under birdsI woke up dead early this morning and couldn't sleep so I made a flask of coffee and went to the river. Three hours of birdwatching before work. It is possibly that I might be going slightly mad. I did see a kingfisher, though, and 24 other species.
Lesser black backed gull, Herring gull, Common gull, Black headed gull, Carrion crow, Magpie, Blackbird, Robin, Dunnock, Wren, Swift, Blue tit, Great tit, Long tailed tit, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Heron, Mallard, Mute Swan, Coot, Moorhen, Wood pigeon, Feral pigeon.
Now I'm trying to think of somewhere to go this evening to get a few different ones.
As I said I may be going slightly mad.
