Motorcars! Poop-poop!

On the JFDI principle I have now booked the first of five refresher driving lessons. I followed the FHWW plan of thinking what I want and what that would enable me to do (to be confident enough at driving to be able to hire a car on holiday) and then asking for recommendations rather than spend ages researching online. Plus I made the calls to the two companies from work, which would no doubt please Mr Ferris.

Time from writing down the wish to now = 48 hours. Actions taken = 4 (one post to DW, one email, two phone calls). Time taken to do it = 15min, of which only less than five was my 'own time'.

Hah!

My first lesson is on Friday 29th, which my instructor is sensibly not taking as a holiday. With luck and a following wind I should be able to hire a car this summer. Of course it helps that I sorted the driving licence out LAST time I was having an efficiency streak :-)

So, now to work out how to buy a garden flat...

I'm not sure if you should actually read it or just listen to me sound off about it when I see you :-) It is VERY annoying in some ways and he assumes you are Exactly Like Him, which if I was I would my friends to shoot me. But tehre are some useful things in it.

Must be a JFDI day. I have written to 5 organisations to tell them my name's changed... which it officially did a year ago (divorce papers being evidence of change) but I hadn't got around to telling them until today.
